|Bangladesh Power System Reliability and Efficiency Improvement Project|
|Objective(s)||To address some fundamental measures that must be put in place so that the power system can be operated in a secure and economic manner in line with the longer term goals to deliver much greater quantum of power.|
|Scope of Work||1) Introduction to automatic frequency regulation from NLDC by implementing primary governor control to at least 15 nos. of power generators.|
2) Integration of power generators to NLDC network and necessary upgradation of SCADA/EMS core to modernize the dispatch system.
3) Introduction of DLR (Dynamic Line Rating) for 400 km of most important transmission lines of PGCB.
4) Introduction of approximately 800 MVAR Static VAR Compensation (SVC) to critical points of the national grid.
5) Upgradation of few transmission lines capacity either by voltage level upgradation or by reconductoring with higher capacity conductor.
