He completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1977.
He started his career as Assistant Engineer in BPDB in the year 1977. He worked as Assistant Engineer, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Executive Engineer in BPDB during the period of 04.11.1977 to 30.08.1999. He worked as senior system analyst in Dhaka Computer Center from 1999 to 2005 and also in M/S Price Waterhouse Coopers Ltd. He worked as Director Design from 2006 to 2007 and as Chief Engineer, Planning and Design. He worked in second leadership position in BPDB, as a member, Planning and Development from 19.12.2010 to 17.08.2011 whose key responsibilities are to guide and monitor the progress of all the big projects of BPDB of different power plant projects like Sylhet, Chandpur, Sikalbaha etc. He worked as member, Distribution as well as member, PBS & Training. He worked almost 34 years in BPDB and 2 years in REB. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). He attended a wide range of training/workshop program at home and abroad like Technical Training on Power System Analysis with Digital Computer in West Germany in 1981, Technical Training on Power System Planning in Thailand in 1985. He completed his graduation with honours and post-graduation in Public Administration from University of Chittagong in 1982 and 1983 respectively.
He started his career in civil service of Bangladesh as Assistant Commissioner in the year of 1986. He worked as Assistant Commissioner, Upazila Magistrate, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner in different districts of Bangladesh from January 1986 to June 2004. During this period he also posted in Regional Public Administration Training Centre (RPATC), Chittagong and BCS: Administration Academy, Shahbag, Dhaka as Assistant Director from 1989 to August 1993. He completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1979 and started his carrier as Assistant Engineer, Telecommunication Division, Siddhirganj in the year 1979 in BPDB. He was posted as Sub-Divisional Engineer, Telecommunication Division, Siddhirganj, Executive Engineer, Grid Maintenance Division, Dhaka (North) and System Protection and Metering Division, Dhaka in BPDB. Then he joined Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd, on September, 2001 in the position of Manager, System Protection and Metering Division, Dhaka-1. He was posted as DGM, System Protection and Metering Circle & Design Department. Finally he was appointed as Director, Planning & Development, PGCB on January 29, 2013. From July 4, 2013 to February 09, 2014 he is also serving as Managing Director (Additional charge) in PGCB. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Member of the International Protection Engineers association (IPEA). Imdadul Islam, a renowned Electrical Engineer, was born on 5th June, 1956 in a respective Muslim family of village- Kolghnipara, P.O.- Bahadurpur, Upozilla- Bheramara of Kushtia district. He completed his graduation in Electrical Engineering in 1979 from Rajshahi Engineering College under University of Rajshahi. He started his carrier in Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in October, 1979 as an Assistant Engineer in Shahajibazar Power Station, Sylhet. He worked in Grid maintenance Division, Ishurdi. Planning & Development Division, Distribution Division, 18-Town Power Distribution Project of BPDB. He joined as a Manager, Telecommunication Division(TCD) & worked as a Manager, Grid Maintenance Division, Bogra. Deputy General Manager, Grid Circle, Chittagong & Project Director, Bibiana-Kaliakoor 400kv Transmission line & Fenchuganj-Bibiaba 230kv Transmission Line Project. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Engineers Bangladesh. He joined as General Manager/Chief Engineer, Transmission-1 on 27.08.2012. Engr. Farid Uddin AhmedDesignation : Chief Engineer (Project Director), Power Grid Network Strengthening Project (G2G)Description: Engr. Farid Uddin Ahmed is son of late Al-Haj Abdul Khaleque and Late Halima Begum. He was born on the 31st December, 1954 in a respectable Muslim family at Manderpur village, Upazila- Kasba under Brahmanbaria district. He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1977. He started his carrier as an Assistant Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Division in Ashugonj 128 MW Power Station, Brahmanbaria in the year 1978 under Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). He proved himself as a dynamic engineer in Power Sector by holding different positions namely, Subdivisional Engineer in Ashugonj Combined Cycle Power Plant, Executive Engineer Workshop and Turbine in Ashugonj Power Station and Executive Engineer Grid Maintenance Division, Comilla of BPDB till the 14th October 2001. When Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) was formed, he joined as Manager, Grid Maintenance Division (GMD), Comilla on October 2001. He was posted as Deputy General Manager (DGM), Grid Circle Comilla and Project Director (DGM), Project-2.
As a Project Director, he successfully completed different projects like, 1. Three Nos. Four Circuit Transmission line viz, (a) 132 kV Turn in Turn out Brahmanbaria Substation (19 km), (b) 132 kV Turn in Turn out Meghnaghat GIS (18 km) & (c) 132 kV Turn in Turn out Meghnaghat GIS (10 km); 2. (a) 132 kV Khulna to Gallamari Double Circuit T/L line & (b) 132 kV Madangonj to Munshigonj Double Circuit line T/L and 3. (a) Construction of five Nos. (1 No GIS + 4 Nos. AIS) of 132/33 kV Substations with capacity of 732 MVA & (b) Extension of three Nos. 230/132 kV Grid Substation with capacity of 600 MVA.
The ongoing projects under his jurisdiction are construction of (a) one No 230/132 kV GIS sub-station at Agargaon, Dhaka, (b) 2 Nos. 132/33 kV GIS sub-stations at Cantonment, Satmasjid, Dhaka and (c) 230 kV & 132 kV underground cable lines.
He has been given charge of the upcoming new project, "National Power Transmission Network Development Project". Now he is the Chief Engineer, Project. He is the life member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh. He attended different training and workshops at home and abroad e.g., UK, India and Nepal on Power Plant Engineering (Operation & Maintenance) and Project Management. He completed his graduation in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1983. He started his carrier as Assistant Engineer in Power Line Carrier Communication Division in Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in the year 1984. In August 1985, he was posted as Shift Charge Engineer in the “Load Dispatch Center”. In 1986, he joined “ The Central Load Dispatch Center Project” and was engaged with M/s. Hydro Quebec Internal,Canada for the installation, testing and commissioning of micro processor based telemetering system in BPDB to facilitate on line monitoring of the national grid network in Bangladesh from the “Central Load Dispatch Center”. After completion of the project in 1989, he joined Telemetering Division of BPDB as Sub-divisional Engineer where he was responsible for the operation and maintenance of the master station of the telemetering system. In July 1995, he joined Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in lien in the post of Load Dispatcher under System Operation Department of DEWA. For his outstanding performance, he was promoted as “System Control Engineer” very shortly. In recognition of his valuable efforts and outstanding contribution in the Voltage Conversion Work (6.6 kV to 11 kV) in DEWA, his group succeed in winning “The Distinguished Government Team” award under the “Dubai Government Excellence Program for the Year 1999”. In August 2000, he joined Telemetering Division of BPDB after completion of lien in DEWA. In March 2003, he got promotion as Manager and was posted in the Efficiency Division of Central Load Dispatch Centre under Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB). He introduced The Monthly Power System Operation Report in PGCB that is still followed. In September 2008, he was posted as Manager in Management Information System Division (MIS) of PGCB and introduced the MIS report for the first time in PGCB that is following now. On 1 February 2012, he was promoted as Deputy General Manager and was assigned responsibility as Project Director. He successfully completed the following Projects; a) Siddhirganj-Maniknagar 230kV Transmission Line Project; b) Haripur 360MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (PGCB part) and c) Relocation of existing 132kV Overhead Lines by underground cable from the 335MW Combined Cycle Power Plant Project area of Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Ltd (EGCB) at Siddhirganj. On16 February 2015, he has been promoted as Chief Engineer and assigned the charge of system operation Department for operating the National grid network of Bangladesh. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh. He attended training in local and abroad. Training on Operation and Maintenance of Power Transformer & Protective Relay held in Korea and Power System Communication held in Switzerland in the year 1993 were the important trainings he attended abroad. He worked as Operation & Maintenance Engineer (Asst. Engineer) of132/33 kV Substation and associated transmission lines from 1983 to 1990 in Chittagong. Then he worked as Operation & Maintenance Engineer (SDE) of 230/132/66/33 kV substation & associated transmission lines in Iswardi from1991 to 1996, and as Control & Protection Engineer (SDE) in SPM Division,Dhaka from 1997 to 2002. He promoted as Executive Engineer in BPDB and then joined in Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Limited as Manager in 2003 and successfully completed different projects like (1) Joybevpur-Kabirpur-Tangail132 kV T/L project, which includes the first 132 kV hybrid GIS in Bangladesh (2) Rampura-Meghnaghat 230 kV T/L project (3) Extension of 5 nos. of 132 kV Grid Substations. Masoom Alam Bokshi, an Electrical Engineer was born on 9 July, 1961 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his graduation in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) department from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 1983. He has completed M.Sc. Engineering in 1987 from the same university and in the same department.
He joined Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) in 1984 and started his career in the Project Planning Department and worked there for about five years. Thereafter he was posted in the Central Load Dispatch Centre (CLDC) in 1989 as Shift In-charge and continued there till the end of 1994. He then left BPDB on lien for an overseas job in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai, UAE. He worked there as Shift In-charge in the System Operation Department (SOD) for five years. After successful completion of the tenure of overseas job he returned to BPDB in 2000 and posted again in the Load Dispatch Department and continued there till the end of 2002. Thereafter he joined Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) under power sector reforms. He was promoted to Executive Engineer in January, 2003 and continued his job in PGCB as Manager in the construction of transmission line and substation projects. In September, 2006 he again joined DEWA on lien from PGCB and continued there till October, 2008. On return from DEWA he was posted in the NLDC project. He was entrusted with the responsibility of a Project Director in April, 2011 and was promoted to Deputy General Manager (DGM) on 1 February 2012. He has successfully completed the following:

He completed his B.Com(Honours) & M.Com in Accounting from University of Dhaka in the year 1983.He also completed Cost & management Accountancy(CMA) in the year 1995 from The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and became a fellow member of the Institute and obtain FCMA in the year 2001.He started his carrier in the year 1987 as a Programme Organizer in BRAC. Then he joined Rural Electrification Board(REB) in the year 1988 and then after he joined in Rangpur Palli Bidyut Samity as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) Finance in the year 1994.After performing his duties he farther joined as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) Finance in the year 1996 in Shirajgong Palli Bidyut Samity . Mr.Chowdhury served TSP Complex Ltd(A company of BCIC) a state own Company,as an Assistant Chief Accountant (ACA) from August 1997 to October 1999. In end 1999 he joined in Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and proved himself as a Professional accountant by holding different positions in the Directorate of Finance & also Directorate of Accounts namely Deputy Director(Finance) and Deputy Director (Accounts) up to October,2005. After that Mr.Chowdhury Joined Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd(PGCB) on 6th October 2005 in the position of Manager Audit. He hold Deputy General Manager(DGM) in charge in the year 2007. Now he has been Working as Deputy General Manager(DGM) Audit from 6th October 2008 to till to date.He attended a wide range of Training and workshop at home and abroad. He visited a number of countries such as China, Korea & India . He is married and blessed with a son & a daughter.

He has born in a moderate muslim family in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has achieved his BSS (Honours) & MSS in Public Administration from University of Dhaka and Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Bangladesh Management Development Center, Dhaka. He also achieved Banking Diploma , part one, from BIBM, Dhaka. He participated in a research program on Problem of Program Implementation in Thana Administration. He participated in different trainings like, Management Programe Finance for Non-Finance Executives, Corporate Human Resource Management etc. Mr. Hossain served Pubali Bank, a state own commercial bank, as Senior Official from May 1983 to December 1985. In end 1985 he joined in Co-operatives Jute Mills Ltd, a composite jute mills, as Company Secretary and served up to November 1992. He served in R.M Group of Industries in various capacities like Manager (Marketing & Administration), Senior Manger (Projects & Foreign Purchase) and Assistant General Manager, i.e., head of corporate office from November 1992 to August 2008. He was involve in negotiating industrial project purchase, making contract and implementation there off. For business purpose he visited India, Korea, China, Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong etc. He used to write articles on commercial & industrial events & fiscal policy matters in national reputed dailies. He is blessed by one son and two daughters.
